To Book a Class
Our schedule is customizable to your schedule. We book on a by-request basis.
Diane is available to teach when she's in town (generally the last two and a half weeks of each month), pretty much any time and any day. See dates below.
To schedule with Diane or to ask any questions you may have about her studio,
please text (preferred) or call her directly at 719-233-8982.
Classes are a flat rate of $20 per person per 80-minute session.
We don't offer any discounts because our rate is already crazy cheap for a private lesson.
We require prepayment from new students (so you have some skin in the game), on Venmo or Cash App. After we know you, we prefer cash, but Venmo and Cash App are still great.
Diane is a Level 3 certified pole instructor and a certified group fitness instructor, and she will create a personalized fitness program tailored to your individual needs and goals. We start where you are!
We have three poles, so with two students, we can each have our own pole. If you're okay sharing, you can bring more friends or host a party! (Classes are $20 per person. Parties are just $60.)
We offer a FREE live virtual online non-pole morning workout session three days each week. Text Diane for details. If you have a pole at home, you can schedule an online pole session with Diane whether she's in Westby or Colorado!
Hi! I’m Diane Martin, owner of South Springs Pole and Norse Pole, and I’d like to tell you about my journey with pole fitness. I took my first pole lesson in 2008. Pole was brand-new in Colorado Springs back then, and I had never known anyone who had done it; I just went out on a limb and signed up for an intro lesson. I was not in shape—in fact, I had never really been in shape—and I was a bit older than most of the other students in my class. In spite of all that, I fell in love with pole on my first spin. I smiled from ear to ear, and for the next few days, I felt like a kid with a secret: I was so excited about my new hobby!
I stuck with it, and a couple of years later, I started teaching lessons on my pole in my living room. It didn’t take long to realize that I needed more space, so in 2012 I found a location to open a "real" studio. I named that studio Pole Revolution because of the ways pole has revolutionized my life, and the studio was a success. In 2017, I sold Pole Revolution to one of my students who I knew could take it farther than I could. And did she ever!
I missed teaching though, so a while back, my husband renovated half of the lower level of our Colorado Springs home into a cozy studio with five poles. I honored my two-year non-compete agreement with Pole Rev's new owner, and in November 2019 we opened our home studio as South Springs Pole, to provide basic and intermediate pole instruction.
In 2021, my husband and I bought another home, this one in Westby, Wisconsin. We created a studio with three poles in one room on the main floor, and in 2022 we opened our second pole studio. Because of the community's Norwegian heritage, I named this studio Norse Pole, and yes, it feels like Christmas all year round! Since I opened the second studio, I've been traveling back and forth every two or three weeks, and the airlines love me!
Our first love in pole is teaching the basics. We love teaching the basics of dance, counting music, and routines for each level in our curriculum. We have three poles, so our class sizes remain small and personal. We strive to create a safe space--a no-judgment zone.
We welcome anyone, regardless of age, race, gender or gender expression, religion, sexual orientation, body type, or ability. We are here to help you move forward, so please check out what we have to offer. You can find us on Facebook and Instagram. Our schedule is customizable to your needs, so please text, message, email or call us with questions. We look forward to journeying in pole with you!
At Norse Pole & Fitness, you'll get not just the "what," but also the "how" and the "why" of every pole move. You'll get suggestions like "shift your weight to the other foot" and "put your outside hand on top" and "watch what my feet do here," to make pole accessible. One of our mottos is "Can't isn't a word here unless it's followed by yet."
Diane is trained and certified to teach beginning, intermediate, and advanced students. She is certified through the Pole Fitness Alliance (formerly PoleMoves), the most trusted source for pole fitness professionals. PFA training focuses on the basics: techniques and safety; so our students gain a solid understanding of the finer points of any pole move.
Because of Diane's training and commitment to helping you succeed, she provides patient, attentive instruction that ensures you'll leave every class with at least one "I did it!" moment.
You can do it! Come and see!
